Us is composed of two songs from Peter Gabriel's 1992 Us album. Both are emotional appeals of empathy for marginalized communities. Each are 6 to 7 minutes in length and could be performed at socially concerned organizations and non profits.
Come Talk to Me is a story of the fragility of life told through one man's fall into homelessness and his return. It asks us to acknowledge the possibility of loss and to see homelessness in a personal rather than anonymous light. Come Talk to Me is 6:30 minutes in length, calls for one male lead, a female partner, a few short friend roles and many homeless character roles.
Blood of Eden portrays the need for diverse expressions of love to be accepted by wider society. A gay couple struggles with illness and the stress in places on their relationship while not getting recognition as partners. Theirs and others' struggles are contrasted with a male and female couple who remain unaware of their special place until the end of the dance.
